Job Summary
The newly created position of Administrative Assistant will report to the Assistant to the President & CEO. The Administrative Assistant will implement administrative duties with direction from the Manager of Operations, including: managing calendars, meeting scheduling, and supporting PCHI technical assistance, training, certification, and operations, and other special projects as determined. The Administrative Assistant will assist in project management and carry out operational duties such as setting up meetings, coordinating calendars, processing paperwork, taking minutes, and assume other duties as assigned within the time allotted. This is a part-time, nonexempt position.

PCHI® is a national nonprofit organization based in Ohio to further whole person care coordination to achieve health equity through the Pathways Community HUB Institute® Model (PCHI® Model). PCHI was launched to assure fidelity to the PCHI® Model through national Certification. PCHI is the certifying body for the PCHI® Model for Pathways Community HUBs, Pathways Agencies, Technology Vendors, and Community Health Worker Instructors and licenses use of the Model to entities committed to the certification process. An advocate for community health workers (CHWs) and community empowerment, PCHI provides CHW training and technical assistance to assist communities implementing the PCHI® Model. PCHI promotes a research agenda to further the Model and identification and mitigation of personally modifiable risk factors at the individual and community level.
Pathways Community HUBs (PCHs) and Pathways Agencies are being implemented in more than 40 communities in 17 states. Seven states--Ohio, Michigan, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin—have nationally certified Pathways Community HUBs or Pathways Agencies. PCHI is currently providing technical assistance to communities across the country, including in the states of: Alabama, California, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, who are implementing the PCHI® Model to meet their health equity goals.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions
Assist in implementing the day-to-day operations of the organization under direction of the Assistant to the President & CEO including scheduling, minutes, processing, documenting, organizing, project management, and follow up.
Contribute to operations and outcomes to assist the organization in making consistent and timely progress in achieving its mission and programmatic objectives.
Write policies and procedures for job duties as they develop and keep up to date.
Additional Job Functions
Performs other related duties as assigned to further the PCHI® Model.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of public health and healthcare.
Demonstrated ability to set goals and follow through to achieve them.
Interest in learning and promoting the Pathways Community HUB Institute® Model.
Required Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, computer and technology skills.
Entrepreneurial self-starter.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
Remote position. Ohio based preferred. Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines including computer, printer, copier, telephone, etc. Must be physically able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time but also involves standing and walking for periods of time. Must be able travel by car. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of twenty to thirty pounds.
